Wright 3 by Blue Balliett

Spring semester at the Lab School in Hyde Park finds Petra and Calder drawn into another mystery when unexplainable accidents and ghostly happenings throw a spotlight on Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House, and it's up to the two junior sleuths to piece together the clues. Stir in the return of Calder's friend Tommy (which creates a tense triangle), H.G. Wells's The Invisible Man, 3D pentominoes, and the hunt for a coded message left behind by Wright, and the kids become tangled in a dangerous web in which life and art intermingle with death, deception, and surprise.

I really want to read this book. It looks interesting. I think I may check it out after I'm done with Artemis Fowl.

Anybody think I should read it. Recommendations, maybe? :)

The book was very good. it has all kinds of information but it puts it in a very cool format. I learned a lot about Frank Lloyd Wright, codes and the fibbanochi sequence. I like that it isn't like a textbook.

The Wright 3 is a really good book. Great mystery and some suspense. Now I kind of even want a set of pentominoes.

A probable 3 out of 5. Hard to get into, but exciting and mysterious. Great illustrations!

I agree with Nathan W. I would give it a 7 out of 10, though I'm not done with it.

Great book... it really hooks the reader at the beginning about the house getting demolished. Plus about how the kids are going to try and save it. I don't want to give the rest away, so I let you read it yourself.

I have to agree with Becca. This was a GREAT book and I loved the way that the author teaches you about many topics -- Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, art, the Fibonacci sequence, the University of Chicago -- but it is totally painless.

I also agree with Jared that the reader is hooked as soon as you find out about the proposed demolition of the FLW house.

I read this book in two nights, and that is even with having to do all of my "mom duties" when I get home from NAL practice!

I can't wait to read this author's other book, Chasing Vermeer.
