It's a very good book. My sister got it for me for my birthday and I read it over ten times now!

Isn't there a movie based on this?

I loved this book, it had a really good story and plot. The only thing I hated was the ending, with Bruno and Schmeul. (please exuse my spelling. I forgot how to spell his name.)
P.S. They are making a movie it is coming out on March, 10.

Good book, easy read. Everything is good except the ending, which is very ironic.

It's a very good book that you can learn some history from. Also a good read with a really ironic ending. An easy read, it should only take 2-3 days max for giftards. I didn't think much of this book when I first picked it up, but I found that it was hard to put down. If you read the back of the book it says we hope you never encounter one of these fences. Once you read the book you will understand why they say that.

I'm hearing from a LOT of people that this book is pretty disturbing. Mrs. Gates, who is a library teacher, says the movie is even more so.

From what kids are telling me, I should probably read this book, but it sounds very, very depressing, and so I'm not sure I really want to read this for "entertainment." Sounds like it is likely to give you nightmares...
