The way the characters talk is obnoxious. Drives me crazy.

This is a good book! I like it a lot. The way they talk gets annoying and I really want to read the second book to it.

I agree with some of the others. The way they talk is annoying, but it's a great book!!! I'm going to read the second book right after BOB. I think the ending is Cheesy though.

The book is a little boring. There doesnt seem to be much plot. The characters seem almost fake. They seem artificial.

It was really good. I want to read the sequel. But the grammar is really bad.

Gentle's Holler is an okay book. The way they talk drives me insane, and it seems to emphasise all the stereotypes about people that live in the "south". [spittin', banjo-playin', uneducated "folks"] And then the end just seemed like an easy way to stop writting the book. I liked the description though! :)

This book was pretty good, and I will probably end up reading the two sequels. It is a little corny, as Bailey noted, and I agree with Pam that there are a LOT of stereotypes about Appalachian country bumpkin types.

One thing that really bothered me is that I don't like the fact that a VERY serious family problem never seems to be resolved... The book just ended.

Coolest doghouse ever, though :)

This was my favorite BOB book!I liked it because there was always something happening.Like it never got boring because there was something intresting going on for almost every person. The author made it intresting by having so many catastrophes happen. Also, this is my only favorite book for two reasons. One, it was really intresting and two, almost all of the BOB books i read were really boring!!! So that's why i liked this book the best.

I like books like this one. Books where something bad happens then at the end everything turns good. Gentle's Holler is one of my favorite books. I wish it would have had a better ending. It went to fast at the end!
